Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Junk Removal Laborer and kick-start your career with paid training and exciting growth opportunities! You'll learn valuable skills in operating various trucks, managing heavy loads, and adhering to safety protocols—all while contributing to a cleaner community. Responsibilities Safely operate different types of trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, and municipal waste management vehicles, ensuring compliance with all DOT (Department of Transportation) and state transportation regulations Load and unload debris, garbage, and recyclable materials efficiently using manual lifting techniques and mechanical equipment such as front-end loaders Drive route trucks while adhering to traffic laws, safety protocols, and defensive driving practices to ensure timely service delivery Assist in the collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste in accordance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable Maintain vehicle inspection routines, including checking air brakes, mechanical components, and safety features before and after shifts Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during pickups and drop-offs Follow safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during outdoor work activities Qualifications Prior experience driving commercial trucks such as garbage trucks or roll-off trucks is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is a plus Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Mechanical aptitude or knowledge of truck systems is advantageous for maintenance routines Strong understanding of solid waste management practices and municipal waste procedures Excellent communication skills with a focus on safety and customer service excellence Previous delivery driver experience or route driving background is beneficial but not mandatory Embark on a rewarding career path where your efforts directly contribute to community well-being!
