Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, planting flowers, and maintaining garden beds to keep parks vibrant and welcoming Operate hand tools and power tools such as trimmers, blowers, shovels, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently to complete daily tasks Assist with irrigation system installation, inspection, and repair to ensure proper watering of all landscaped areas Conduct routine maintenance of park facilities, including cleaning picnic areas, benches, pathways, and restrooms Support landscaping projects by planting trees, installing mulch, and performing general land improvement activities Use gardening techniques aligned with horticulture best practices to promote healthy plant growth Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment regularly and following proper procedures during all maintenance activities Requirements Prior experience or familiarity with landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in outdoor environments Knowledge of irrigation systems and lawn care practices is a plus Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting heavy objects, and digging with hand tools Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality of work Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions clearly and efficiently Valid driver's license may be required depending on specific job duties This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop skills in landscaping, gardening, and outdoor maintenance while contributing positively to community spaces.
