The Shop Helper supports daily shop operations by assisting technicians, mechanics, or shop staff with cleaning, organizing, stocking materials, handling tools, and performing general labor tasks. This role helps maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment while ensuring materials and equipment are readily available. Key Responsibilities Assist shop personnel with routine tasks and projects. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, work areas, and storage spaces. Move, load, unload, and organize materials, supplies, and equipment. Retrieve and deliver tools, parts, and materials as needed. Help receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments. Dispose of waste materials and maintain proper housekeeping standards. Perform basic maintenance and shop support duties. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely. Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment. Support other departments as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous shop, warehouse, or labor experience is an asset but not required. Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, and work in a physically demanding environment. Basic mechanical aptitude preferred. Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Preferred Experience Construction site laborer experience. Experience loading and unloading building materials. Familiarity with construction safety practices and PPE requirements. Forklift or equipment operation experience is a plus.
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
