Health insurance and Ohio Public Employees Retirement Position availability: Immediately The Village of Monroeville is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Street Laborer. Preferably, the successful candidates should have general knowledge of the functions and responsibilities of a street laborer, and must meet the requirements of the position's job description, which can be viewed at www.

MonroevilleOhio.com, on the Departments/Employment tab. The candidate will be under the direct supervision of the Street Superintendent and the Village Administrator. Because work under this job classification is typically performed primarily outdoors, the successful candidate must be willing and able to work in inclement weather conditions. The candidate must be able to safely lift heavy equipment, perform landscape and park maintenance practices, and have general knowledge of proper safety practices in the operation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, yard waste collections, snow removal, street patching, street and curb cleaning, and maintenance of public facilities. The successful candidate must be safety-minded, obtain a Class B CDL, and complete Bucket Truck Rescue Training within the time period established by Village Administration.
