Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic delivery team as a Delivery Driver Helper, where your energy and enthusiasm will help ensure timely and efficient deliveries to our valued customers. In this role, you will assist the driver in loading, unloading, and delivering goods while maintaining a focus on safety, customer service, and operational excellence. Your proactive attitude and commitment to safe handling practices will contribute directly to our team's success and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Support the driver in navigating routes efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Help with the safe lifting, moving, and placement of packages or materials, ensuring compliance with weight handling safety protocols. Participate in operations including inventory management, material handling, and maintaining organized areas. Communicate effectively with customers during deliveries to ensure a positive experience and address any immediate concerns or questions. Assist with load & unload activities at the warehouse or delivery sites, ensuring all items are handled safely and accurately. Skills Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor during deliveries. The physical ability to lift, lower, push, and pull furniture of all sizes, including pieces over 200 lbs., while navigating stairs, tight corners, and varying weather conditions. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, communication, or documentation purposes.
