The H&K Group seeks a reliable Groundsperson to support mining and quarry operations within our Industrial Services & Manufacturing department. This hands-on role maintains clean, safe work areas; assists with equipment inspections; performs basic maintenance and cleanup; and supports production teams around crushers, conveyors, and stockpiles. Working in all weather conditions, the Groundsperson follows strict safety and environmental standards, communicates effectively with crew members, and contributes to efficient, high-quality materials production. Responsibilities Maintain clean and orderly quarry and plant grounds, including debris and spillage removal Assist with routine inspections of crushers, conveyors, and related equipment Support basic maintenance tasks under supervision (lubrication, minor repairs, adjustments) Monitor work areas for safety hazards and report issues promptly Follow all MSHA/OSHA, company, and environmental regulations and procedures Operate basic tools and light equipment as directed Assist with stockpile management, cleanup, and material handling Work cooperatively with equipment operators, mechanics, and supervisors Perform tasks in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments Complete required safety training, toolbox talks, and documentation Required Skills Quarry or mining operations familiarity Basic mechanical aptitude Equipment and conveyor awareness Use of hand and power tools Safety and hazard recognition Lockout/tagout awareness Housekeeping in industrial environments Material handling and cleanup Communication with production crews Personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance
