Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part Time Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in animal care, veterinary procedures, and client communication, with a passion for providing exceptional pet healthcare. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with exams by performing safe animal restraint. Perform blood draws and run multiple laboratory tests on various machines. Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, oxygen concentrators, therapeutic laser, ultrasound, and other diagnostic tools. Handle outpatient appointments such as completing booster vaccines, nail trims, and anal gland expressions. Maintain detailed records using veterinary software while ensuring compliance with veterinary terminology and protocols. Assist in answering phones, filling prescriptions, and scheduling appointments. Skills Proven experience in veterinary technology with knowledge of veterinary terminology. Strong experience in cat and dog handlin/restraint. Familiarity with animal phlebotomy and catherization procedures. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration within a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of veterinary software systems for record-keeping and appointment scheduling.
Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per weekBenefits:
