Job Description
Job Summary We are in search of a diligent and dedicated Landfill Gas Crew laborer / Operator to maintain our landfill gas collection system. This is primarily a hands-on field position. The Landfill Gas Crew laborer / Operator's responsibilities include performing routine inspections, equipment maintenance and system troubleshooting to ensure an efficient landfill gas collection system ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Our ideal candidate is knowledgeable about the operations of a landfill gas collection system and has the technical skills to perform routine system maintenance and troubleshooting. Typical Work Environment Outdoor landfill site, often in variable weather conditions. Potential exposure to odors, dust, and hazardous gases. Requires adherence to strict safety and environmental compliance standards. Key duties and responsibilities include : Operating and maintaining gas collection systems. Repairing and troubleshooting system malfunctions. Recording and maintaining data related to gas collection system performance. Assisting in the installation of new equipment and systems. Communicating with team members and management about system performance. Participating in safety training and adhering to safety protocols. Responding to emergency situations and taking appropriate actions. Ensuring compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations. Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of landfill gas equipment . Perform system adjustments and repairs as necessary to maximize gas collection. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and emission standards. Identify, troubleshoot, and correct landfill gas collection and control system issues. Adhere to all safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment. Assist with environmental compliance reporting and documentation. III. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. IV. Qualifications Prior landfill gas technician experience and / or landfill operations experience.
