Job Description

In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service support to Valor Insurance clients, ensuring a seamless experience throughout their insurance journey. You will also play an important role in supporting premium growth by identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell insurance products, as well as recognizing potential new business opportunities within our existing client relationships. Valor Insurance is a nationally recognized full-service insurance brokerage operating in 33 states and continuing to expand across the country. This position requires the candidate to obtain a property and casualty insurance license prior to their start date.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence:
Welcome clients to the agency and assist them with policy changes, inquiries, and claims processing. Respond promptly to client requests and inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Policy Management:
Coordinate policy changes and updates as requested by clients. Work closely with insurance carriers to ensure accurate and timely processing of policy endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
Premium Growth & Sales Support:
Identify opportunities to increase premium through cross-selling and upselling additional insurance products and coverage to existing clients. Recognize changes in client needs, exposures, or circumstances that may create opportunities for additional coverage or new business.
New Business Opportunities:
Engage with clients to uncover potential insurance needs and refer or develop qualified new business opportunities. Work collaboratively with Valor Insurance Brokers to ensure opportunities are properly communicated and followed through.
Vendor Coordination:
Collaborate with mortgage companies and other vendors to facilitate insurance-related transactions and requirements. Ensure timely communication and resolution of any issues that may arise.
Certificate Generation:
Generate certificates of insurance for clients as needed. Verify coverage details and liaise with underwriters to address any specific requirements or endorsements.
Client Advocacy:
Serve as the primary point of contact for Valor Insurance clients, providing guidance and support throughout their insurance journey.
Issue Resolution:
Advocate on behalf of clients to resolve issues and address concerns effectively. Collaboration with
Brokers:
Work closely with Valor Insurance Brokers nationwide to ensure clients receive consistent and high-quality service. Communicate effectively with brokers to address client needs, preferences, and potential sales opportunities.
Relationship Development:
Build strong, long-term client relationships by understanding client needs and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance their insurance program and overall experience.
Qualifications:
Property and casualty insurance license required prior to start date. Previous experience in customer service or insurance-related role preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to identify client needs and confidently communicate appropriate insurance solutions. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Responsive, proactive, and results-oriented approach to customer service. Comfortable balancing client service responsibilities with premium growth and business development objectives.
