This role supports efficient production flow by ensuring materials are properly organized, quality-checked, and prepared for the next stage of manufacturing. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced industrial environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sort wood pieces after exiting the ripsaw according to size, grade, and production specifications.
  • Inspect lumber for visible defects such as splits, knots, warping, or damage.
  • Stack materials neatly and safely to prevent damage or safety hazards.
  • Remove scrap and unusable materials and place in designated areas.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area around ripsaw and sorting station.
  • Assist machine operators and other production team members as needed.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Meet daily production and quality standards. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • No prior millworks experience required - on-the-job training provided.
  • Ability to read basic measurements and follow simple instructions.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Repetitive bending, reaching, and stacking.
  • Ability to work in a loud environment (hearing protection required).
Work Environment Industrial millworks facility with exposure to wood dust, noise, and moving machinery. Non-climate-controlled environment (may vary with weather conditions).
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
