New Brighton, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22682347 Summary New Brighton, PA In-Person $18.00 - $25.00 per Hour 2 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Night Shift / Full-Time / Hours May Vary Description National Hood Exhaust & Fire Group is seeking a qualified individual to join our growing restaurant hood installation division. Individual will assist in the installation of commercial kitchen exhaust systems in restaurants and institutions. Basic duties will include- Fitting and installation of stainless steel backsplash panels.
- Hanging type 1 & type 2 kitchen exhaust hoods.
- Fabrication and assembly of tempered and non-tempered MUA ductwork.
- Assembly of all necessary welded exhaust ductwork.
- Wrapping all welded ductwork in fire barrier duct wrap.
- Installing roof & side mounted exhaust curb's for exhaust fans and MUA units.
- Installing and securing exhaust fan and MUA units. Job requires
- Basic carpentry skills (must be able to read a tape measure).
- Basic use of hand and power tools.
- Cutting sheet metal.
- Ability to work in tight spaces.
- Ability to climb ladders (job requires climbing on ladders and working on flat and pitched roofs so any qualified individual must not be scared of heights)
- Keeping to deadlines is a must as well as the ability to think independently and problem solve.
- Ability to work in, and keep, a clean, neat, safe and organized work environment is a must.
- Ability to work long shifts and work well with a team.
- Roofing experience is a plus.
- Electrical wiring ability and other welding/fabricating abilities are a plus.
- Reading blueprints is a plus. Must have at least 2 or more years of related experience. Drivers license and own tools preferred. Company uniforms and training provided. Qualified individuals can earn UP TO $20 per hour to start, depending on experience.
- $25 per hour if a certified welder.
