Job Summary We are seeking a responsible and compassionate Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT)
DRIVERS/ DRIVER HELPER
to transport clients to and from medical appointments, treatment facilities, and other health-related destinations. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients who lack transportation can access the care they need in a safe and timely manner Responsibilities Provide safe, courteous, and timely transportation for clients to and from scheduled medical appointments or services. Assist clients in and out of the vehicle as needed, including those with mobility challenges or who require wheelchairs or stretchers (depending on vehicle type and company service). Maintain a clean, well-kept vehicle that complies with state and local safety standards. Follow company protocols and local regulations regarding client confidentiality (HIPAA compliance). Communicate effectively with dispatchers to report status updates, delays, or changes in schedule. Accurately complete daily trip logs, mileage reports, and any necessary paperwork. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Report any vehicle maintenance or safety issues immediately. (Drivers license only needed if you're a driver) (Driver helper does not require a license) Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check, and DMV check. Professional, patient, and courteous demeanor. Physically capable of assisting clients into and out of the vehicle. Familiarity with local roads and GPS navigation.
