Job Description
This is a
DIRECT HIRE
position!MUST BE ABLE TO READ A MEASURING TAPE!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Swing shifts every two weeks. Two weeks on 7 am-3 pm, two weeks on 3 pm-11 pm. It is a straight 8-hour shift, with two breaks and a 20-minute lunch. With possible overtime in the busy season. You will be required to pass a pre-employment screening' Vacation/PTO Holiday Pay Health benefits (after 90 days) Job Summary A valuable member of our team, as a laborer you will work with the production department to load/unload materials as they are put through a processing machine. You will also support the operators and supervisor in production as needed.Job Responsibilities:
Inspect machinery and workpieces to ensure that they remain compliant with specifications to reduce any malfunctions and associated loss of production. o This includes but is not limited to required Housekeeping around the machines, and standard preventative maintenance. Stop any machines upon discovery of a problem and make the required adjustments as quickly as possible to minimize downtime. Provide quality control by inspecting workpieces as they come out of the equipment and removing any defective pieces. Operate machinery, load and unload as needed. Moving completed pieces to designated areas. Keep all equipment running by inspecting and performing basic maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning, and scheduling repairs when needed. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, and supervisors. Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to understand job/order specifications. Knowledge of machinery and equipment maintenance a plus. High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift fifty pounds. Must be able to repetitively use a shovel, broom, rake, grinder, and other hand tools. Must be able to climb steps, walk over uneven or obstructed surfaces.Pay:
$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
