Overview Join our dynamic team as a Fabric Shredding Specialist and play a vital role in transforming textiles into reusable materials! This energetic position involves handling, shredding, and processing various fabric materials to support sustainable waste management and recycling initiatives. You'll work in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes safety, efficiency, and attention to detail, ensuring that all fabric disposal and recycling procedures are executed smoothly. Duties Operate fabric shredding machines and textile processing equipment safely and efficiently to break down various fabric materials. Handle textiles with care, ensuring proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury and maintain product integrity. Sort fabrics by type, color, or material to facilitate effective recycling or disposal processes. Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine sanitation tasks, including cleaning machinery and surrounding spaces. Assist with laundry services by sorting, washing, drying, and folding textiles according to specified standards. Use push carts and other manual tools to transport heavy fabric bundles or shredded materials within the facility. Follow all safety protocols related to industrial equipment operation, material handling, and sanitation procedures. Experience Prior experience in textile handling, laundry services, or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Basic math skills for measuring fabric quantities and understanding processing instructions. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments to ensure personal safety and compliance with regulations. Familiarity with garment care machines such as industrial dryers or textile cleaning equipment is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently during shifts involving manual handling of bulky fabrics or shredded materials. Strong attention to detail for sorting fabrics accurately and maintaining high sanitation standards. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety protocol adherence. Pay:
$48,701.56 - $58,651.34 per year
