Ox Onsite seeks to serve a higher purpose in the vacuum excavation industry by outfitting and training high caliber workers with state-of-the-art equipment. The projects we're hired for assist in safely maintaining and delivering essential services across these United States, and we are searching for driven and enthusiastic individuals who want to help America keep its lights on - keep its homes heated - and keep its infrastructure growing. Ox Onsite is in search of talented and knowledgeable operators to excavate around utilities and pipelines quickly, safely, and precisely, using our advanced fleet of Dry-Vac trucks. The Driver Helper is responsible for driving the trucks to sites and performing vacuum excavation on job sites, while safely following all health and safety policies and procedures. They must be able to perform physical labor for long periods of time throughout the day. This individual will have a willingness to learn and be able to cooperatively work with their team so that Ox Onsite can provide quality service to customers and clients. This position requires travel along the East Coast and out to Texas and everywhere in between. The employee could be gone for a week or weeks at a time. Single accommodations and Per Diems are provided and travel time is paid.WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO
- Enjoy out-of-town travel (room accommodations & meal allowances are provided)
- Safely and successfully complete excavation work, and various other tasks connected to construction projects
- Have previous vacuum truck, general labor/helper, excavation, or other related industrial or construction experience
- Attend safety meetings and training to ensure all tasks are completed in a safe and professional manner
- Ensure the truck and equipment are well-maintained and in good working condition.
- Possess strong team-oriented skills and can collaborate effectively with a like-minded crew
REQUIREMENTS
- CDL License that is either Class A or B
- Successfully pass the pre-employment process which includes having a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record, background check, and successfully pass any required pre-employment drug screening and participate in the random drug testing in accordance with the company policy
- Frequent travel, up to 70% based on project assignment needs
- Capable of performing labor-intensive jobs including exposure to outdoor seasonal work and work areas that are dirty, dusty, and noisy
- Able to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed
- Safety oriented and a team player attitude
- Willingness to learn
- Previous experience in construction or industrial field
- Ability to safely use and lift heavy equipment
- Follow all legislation and health and safety regulations
SCHEDULE & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Monday to Friday or Saturday and Emergency work on weekends may be required
- Full time but hours may vary each day
- Field and on the road environment
- Outdoor work, exposed to all types of weather conditions
- Physical labor demands
- Long days depending on season and weather
- Workers are out on the road for a week or weeks at time.
