This role is essential in supporting our drivers during daily operations, ensuring safe and efficient handling of cargo, and maintaining excellent communication with team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to adapt to different vehicle types and driving environments, including commercial vehicles, shuttle buses, and heavy equipment. Prior experience in warehouse operations, freight handling, or school bus driving is a plus. •$250 SIGN

Duties Assist drivers with loading and unloading cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual methods. Help secure loads on trucks or other vehicles to ensure safety during transit. Support drivers in route navigation and delivery tasks across various locations. Perform basic vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior. Communicate effectively with drivers and dispatchers regarding delivery schedules or route changes. Assist with moving goods within warehouses or storage facilities as needed. Support in operating different types of commercial vehicles, including box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers, depending on assignment. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, vehicle handling, and cargo movement. Provide excellent customer service. Qualifications Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance or heavy equipment operation is a plus. Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual methods. Strong communication skills for effective coordination with drivers and team members. Experience with various vehicle types such as school buses, box trucks, tankers, flatbeds, tow trucks, or heavy haul equipment is advantageous. Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks required for cargo handling. Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with freight handling is beneficial. Must be dependable with a good safety record and the ability to work in different weather conditions.
