Job Description
Job Summary If you love keeping things organized, moving, and mission-ready, this role is for you. As a Freight Handler at Centrus Energy, you'll be the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps our operations running smoothly—making sure the right materials arrive at the right place, at the right time, and with the right documentation. From shipping and receiving to inventory control and secure storage, you'll play a vital role in supporting manufacturing, operations, and compliance in a highly regulated, high-impact environment. What You Will Do You'll manage the flow of materials across the site by receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and shipping both classified and unclassified items. You'll maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts and physical inventories, operate forklifts and material-handling equipment, and ensure materials are packaged, labeled, documented, and stored in accordance with Centrus, DOE, and NRC requirements. Along the way, you'll help optimize stocking levels, maintain chain-of-custody documentation, keep the storeroom safe and organized, and collaborate with operations, manufacturing, security, and compliance teams to keep everything moving efficiently and securely. We'd Love to Hear from People With High school diploma or GED Prior experience in materials handling, warehouse, storeroom, or on-site inventory roles Strong attention to detail and comfort with documentation and inventory records Experience using inventory management systems or warehouse software Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) Familiarity with Oracle or other financial/ERP systems Experience supporting regulated environments or secure material handling Eligibility to obtain and maintain a "Q" Clearance (active clearance preferred)
