Job Description:
The position of Cooler worker is instrumental in enhancing the value of the carcasses that are being staged for the Fabrication Department. This position is responsible for the day-to-day duties of carcass chilling, grading, and sorting.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform job according to pre-established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.
- Pushing cattle carcasses up and down a rail.
- Scanning hot weights tags and enter the grades on the carcasses given to the USDA grader.
- Open and Closes rails by flipping switches on a switch box.
- Use a camera to get the grade of the cattle carcass
- Stack and sort carcasses by age
- Tag carcasses by grade and weight
- Other duties as assigned Job Requirements
- Able to push carcasses through a rail, average push weight is 30-40 lbs.
- Bilingual (Spanish a plus)
- Ability to work 40-50 hours per week
- Ability to work from 6am until the job is complete
