Yard Laborer Arnold Oil Company Fuels - 2.6 Midland, TX Job Details Full-time $27 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Outdoor work experience English Company vehicle operation High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description The Yard Laborer position assists the Terminal Supervisor with various levels of daily maintenance and repair of the facility's assigned equipment. Incumbent may also perform minor tasks independently with limited supervision. All duties of the Yard Laborer are to be performed according to the Company operating procedures in order to maximize the safety of all personnel at the work site and to efficiently perform the task. The position is diverse and job duties may vary on a daily basis. Incumbents of the position may be required to work with hand tools, power tools and light-duty equipment. The position requires the ability to work in all types of inclement and/or extreme weather conditions. The primary job functions include, but are not limited to: Adheres to Company policies and work requirements. Helps maintain work area in a clean and safe condition. Responsible for the upkeep of designated equipment with current maintenance. Performs equipment lubrications, minor repairs, routine equipment maintenance functions, and various other housekeeping tasks associated with yard operations. Maintains safe and clean work environment complying with all OSHA and company safety procedures, rules, and regulations. Works alongside team members when required to complete an installation or repair job. Immediately cleans up any spills caused during the performance of their essential functions. Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the immediate supervisor. The skill requirements include, but are not limited to: Basic mechanical aptitude. Must have a valid Texas driver's license for driving light-duty vehicles. Must possess some automotive maintenance experience. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Work involves continual walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching. Work involves climbing and descending stairs frequently. Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. of weight on a continuous basis. Ability to communicate in English to the extent s/he can understand verbal and written instructions and communicate with Supervisor and other personnel. Requires mental, physical and manual dexterity, hand/grip strength, depth perception and any other physical attribute that enables the employee to perform the job safely according to all Company, Local, State and Federal regulations. Must successfully complete background and criminal history checks. Must pass a Physical Functions Assessment and Urinalysis Drug Screen.
