Physical Certification Full Job Description Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Occasional schedule adjustments such as on the road routes based on business needs. Majority of driving is local.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour Join the QES Team! Quality Electrical Systems (QES) is seeking dependable and safety-focused CDL A Drivers to join our growing team. We are hiring multiple drivers to support our manufacturing operations and transportation needs. This is a local driving position with a variety of responsibilities, including: Transporting materials and equipment between QES facilities Hauling scrap materials to local recycling yards Supporting local deliveries and transportation activities as needed Assisting with loading, unloading, and shipping operations when required If you're looking for a stable, Monday-Friday driving opportunity where you're home every day and part of a team-oriented environment, we'd love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies. Transport materials, products, and equipment between company facilities and designated locations. Complete pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns. Secure cargo using straps, chains, blocks, and other load securement equipment. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and shipping records. Communicate delays, incidents, or vehicle issues promptly. Load and unload materials safely using appropriate equipment. Assist with shipping and material handling activities as needed. Maintain a professional appearance and represent QES positively with customers, vendors, and team members. Keep vehicles clean and organized in accordance with company 5S standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must have or be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card prior to hire. Ability to pass an MVR screening in accordance with company standards. Must pass a preemployment drug and alcohol screening and participate in random testing as required by DOT regulations. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read and understand written instructions. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Forklift experience preferred; certification may be obtained after hire. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience operating flatbed trucks and securing loads. Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment. Experience with local deliveries and manufacturing environments. Working Conditions Primarily local driving with frequent entry and exit from vehicles. Sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday. Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and industrial environments.
