Job Description
The City of La Crosse is seeking to hire seasonal laborers at the Water Department to assist with hydrant flushing. It is the responsibility of the Water Department to install, operate, repair, and maintain the wells, reservoirs, water main, service connections, fire hydrants and the main pumping station within the city. Temporary positions will work 40 hours per week. Standard operating hours of Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Starting wage is $20.00 per hour. Positions to start August 31, 2026. Positions are limited term and do not acquire benefits.
