Overview Join our dynamic team as a Delivery Box Truck Driver / Helper and become a vital part of our logistics operation! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for safely delivering goods to customers while providing exceptional service. Whether you're navigating busy routes or assisting with loading and unloading, your efforts will keep our delivery process smooth, efficient, and customer-focused. Duties Safely operate a box truck to deliver goods to various locations, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Assist with loading and unloading cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks Ensure proper documentation of deliveries using mobile devices and maintain accurate delivery logs Load, secure, and unload packages carefully, practicing safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury Communicate effectively with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns Follow route instructions precisely while managing time efficiently to meet delivery schedules Support warehouse operations by moving materials within the facility as needed, utilizing warehouse experience and material handling equipment Experience Previous delivery driver experience or courier background preferred; familiarity with commercial truck driving is a plus Warehouse experience including material handling, moving heavy loads, and operating equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts Valid driver's license suitable for operating a box truck or commercial vehicle; clean driving record required Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory; training provided if necessary Ability to adhere to safety protocols including DOT regulations, safe lifting practices, and weight handling in the workplace Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation Strong customer service skills with a proactive attitude towards safety, efficiency, and professionalism
