Job Description

Custom metal fabrication shop in Sussex, WI is currently looking to fill the following position. Shop helper and driver We are looking for an energetic and reliable person to join our growing fabrication business. Specializing in high end custom architectural fabrication, means that no two jobs are exactly the same.
Job responsibilities will include:
Helping to maintain a clean shop environment by Sweeping shop Dusting equipment Emptying trash cans Organizing materials Being an "extra set of hands", lifting heavy material, moving large parts that require more than one person Saw cutting bars, tubes, and various other structural shapes Shearing metal sheets and plates Drilling and tapping holes Grinding, sanding, and deburring material Driving company truck for picking up supplies and delivering finished parts. Keeping truck clean and trash free A few of the qualifications we are looking for are: Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must be punctual and able to work 40 hours a week. Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/32th of an inch. Must have a clean driving record No DUI No tickets for excessive speed or reckless driving Able to pass a drug test Able to wear a respirator, hearing protection, and eye protection The shop environment can be dusty, hot and noisy, please be aware of these conditions before applying. If you are a hard worker and willing to learn, we are willing to teach you. Experience that is appreciated but not required: Forklift operation Construction Blueprint reading Any type of hands on work experience Pay rate will depend on experience and willingness to learn.
