Apple Grove Hatchery, Apple Grove, WV Bowden Hatchery, Elkins, WV Edray Hatchery, Marlinton, WV Palestine Hatchery, Elizabeth, WV Petersburg Hatchery, Petersburg, WV Reeds Creek Hatchery, Franklin, WV Ridge Hatchery, Berkeley Springs, WV Spring Run Hatchery, Petersburg, WV Tate Lohr Hatchery, Princeton, WV Job Description:

Assist in all aspects of West Virginia Division of Natural Resources hatchery operations. The focus of these hourly positions will be to assist with statewide trout and warmwater fish culture and stocking efforts. Tasks will include general fish husbandry and conducting a wide variety of facility maintenance activities in harsh weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. Activities will include walking up and down steep embankments and rough terrain. Atypical working hours may be required at times. Housing will not be provided with these positions. Performs all related and non-related work as required by supervisors.

Special Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age. Must have communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with the public. Applicants must be physically fit and capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license. WV State PEIA Health Insurance is available. Eligibility for insurance is determined based on the number of approved hours to work.
