Job Description

ROAD SERVICE SPECIALIST

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Respond to road service calls from drivers experiencing vehicle breakdowns or mechanical issues. Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues over the phone and coordinate repairs with drivers, vendors, and company shops, logging issues in Transman. Support Owner Operators with breakdowns and vendor payments. Create purchase orders and virtual payments for vendors. Ensure timely and accurate communication between drivers, vendors, and the company's maintenance team. Maintain vendor portals (e.g., Loves, Travel Centers of America, Michelin). Expedite repair processes for out-of-service trailers and tractors. Assist Admin with billing credits, duplicates, and corrections. Submit forms and follow processes to onboard new vendors and update location information. Perform Related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & KEY COMPETENCIES
High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in a fleet maintenance, dispatch, or roadside assistance role (trucking industry preferred) Familiarity with DOT regulations, roadside safety, and vendor management preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
