Job Description
Position Summary Poba Medical is a contract manufacturer specializing in medical balloon components, serving OEM customers across the medical device industry. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is a critical operational role responsible for the accurate, compliant, and timely movement of all inbound and outbound product. This position supports two distinct product streams: Poba Medical's contract manufacturing output and the Chamfr e-commerce platform, through which Poba offers off-the-shelf components for rapid delivery to engineers and R&D teams engaged in prototype development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates proactively across departments, and is comfortable operating in a regulated manufacturing environment where documentation accuracy and compliance are non-negotiable. Key Responsibilities Outbound Shipping — Poba Medical Products Schedule and coordinate all outbound shipments of Poba Medical contract-manufactured products, including finished goods and work-in-process transfers. Select appropriate carriers and service levels based on customer requirements, delivery urgency, and cost constraints. Generate and verify all shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of conformance, etc. Ensure shipments comply with applicable export regulations. Coordinate freight classification and carrier selection for LTL shipments, applying correct NMFC codes and density-based freight class determinations. Track outbound shipments through delivery and proactively resolve carrier exceptions or delivery failures. Cross-Functional Communication Serve as the primary point of coordination between Accounting, Operations, and Engineering for all shipping-related activities. ◦
