This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of materials and equipment required to support fiber network construction, network operations, and customer installations. The Materials Logistics Coordinator reports directly to the Materials Management Manager and serves as a key liaison between field operations, construction teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure materials are available when and where they are needed. Position Summary The Materials Logistics Coordinator is responsible for executing daily materials management and logistics activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting warehouse operations, and coordinating material movements between warehouses, staging locations, and job sites. This role requires a hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced construction and operations environment and is committed to operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Warehouse & Inventory Support Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials and equipment accurately and efficiently. Process inventory transactions within the materials management and inventory control systems. Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliations to maintain high inventory accuracy. Monitor material levels and communicate replenishment needs to the Materials Management Manager. Maintain organized warehouse and yard storage locations to ensure material accessibility and efficient operations. Ensure proper handling, identification, and storage of materials and equipment. Logistics Coordination Coordinate material requests and deliveries for construction, network operations, and customer installation teams. Schedule and track material movements between warehouses, staging locations, and job sites. Support shipping, receiving, freight coordination, and fleet deliveries. Coordinate contractor material pickups and returns while maintaining proper documentation. Assist with vendor deliveries and ensure materials are received accurately and on time. Serve as a point of contact for field personnel regarding material availability and logistics support. Operational Support Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and material movements. Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and work instructions. Support process improvement initiatives that enhance material flow and operational efficiency. Prepare reports and provide data related to inventory levels, material usage, and logistics performance. Support asset tracking and accountability programs. Safety & Compliance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard environment. Follow company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA requirements. Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Support loss prevention and asset security initiatives. Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement activities. Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, materials management, logistics coordination, or inventory control. Experience using inventory management or ERP systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment. Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred Qualifications Experience in telecommunications, fiber optics, construction, or utility industries. Knowledge of telecom construction materials and outside plant (OSP) equipment. Experience with barcode scanning systems and inventory control programs. OSHA or forklift certification preferred. Experience coordinating material logistics for field construction activities.
