• Job Description
• The kitter plays a key role in supporting production by ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout a modern manufacturing facility.

This position focuses on supplying CNC machine areas with heavy sheet metal and related materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and operating material handling equipment safely and effectively. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.

• Responsibilities
• + Transport raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility to designated areas in a timely and accurate manner.

+ Supply production lines, particularly CNC machine areas, with the required materials to support manufacturing schedules and prevent interruptions.

+ Assist with inventory control by performing regular cycle counts, documenting material locations and quantities, and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.

+ Properly label, organize, and store materials, especially heavy sheet metal, in assigned locations to optimize space and ensure easy accessibility.

+ Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, following all established procedures and equipment guidelines.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, complying with OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.

+ Identify and promptly report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or workplace issues to the supervisor.

+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing material handling processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing waste.

+ Document and track material movement and storage locations to ensure accurate inventory records and availability of low-stock items.

+ Support loading and unloading of shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring materials are delivered to the correct locations within the facility.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and warehouse staff, to prioritize material needs and adapt to changing production requirements.

• Essential Skills
• + 12 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or HVAC-related environment.

+ Hands-on experience working with heavy sheet metal near CNC machines.

+ Demonstrated ability to stand for 1012 hours per day and lift and move items up to 35 pounds.

+ Proficiency in inventory documentation and tracking, including recording material locations and monitoring low-stock items.

+ Forklift experience with the ability to obtain recertification through onsite training.

+ Experience using pallet jacks and other common material handling equipment.

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when handling materials and updating inventory records.

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and cross-functional teams.

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and production demands.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills to address material flow issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Experience in an HVAC or manufacturing environment, particularly with heavy sheet metal, is highly beneficial.

+ Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with EPICOR is a plus.

+ Knowledge of HVAC systems or manufacturing processes is an advantage.

+ Ability to use kitting practices to organize and prepare materials for CNC machine operations.

+ Strong multi-limb coordination and manual dexterity to safely handle materials and operate equipment.

+ Comfort working in a fast-growing, dynamic environment where priorities may shift.

+ Ability to climb portable ladders when required to access materials or storage areas.

• The role is based in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility featuring industry 4.

Employees work around CNC machines and heavy sheet metal in a warehouse and production setting that requires strict adherence to safety standards and the use of personal protective equipment. The physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and moving up to 35 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing portable ladders as needed. Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are essential for operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

Two shifts are available:

a first shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and a second shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. The workplace promotes a clean, organized, and safety-focused environment in line with OSHA requirements.

• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $22.

00 - $24.20/hr.
