Track all shipments according to customer requirements and deadlines. As part of the responsibilities, provide clerical support performing administrative duties such as appropriate distribution of trade compliance information, compliance documentation maintenance, and ensuring required information is current and reported to appropriate agencies as requested.
Job duties:
Maintain logs and records of shipping documents, executed orders, freight quotes, rates, claims, etc. Administer the efficient movement of goods while ensuring compliance with relevant local, country, and international export laws and processes. Serve as administrative liaison with others internally and outside of the organization regarding issues related to logistics and trade compliance. Coordination of export shipments with various customers, suppliers, and freight forwarders to ensure on time and in full shipments. Schedule carrier pick-ups and customer returns as needed. Monitor and maintain HTS classifications for import and export parts database. Develop, maintain, and audit hard copy export files. Assist the team on the Global Logistics Metrics. Verify accuracy of shipment information and accurately complete export documentation based on the requirements of different countries. Ensure Harmonized Code, Country of Origin, and Pricing information agrees with billing invoice. Follow up on shipment status. $19.45/hr - $25.92/hr Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than what is listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of three (3) years of clerical/administrative assistance experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work independently. Attention to detail. Friendly and helpful phone demeanor. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Desired Qualifications Associate degree preferred. Prior experience in Logistics, import/export and trade compliance. General knowledge of key trade areas, including but not limited to;
EAR, HTS, CFR, NAFTA, AES
etc.
