Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Driver & Logistics Coordinator. This is a versatile operations position that supports local deliveries & pickups, logistics coordination, and warehouse activities. The position rotates between driving and logistics responsibilities based on route volume, client needs, driver availability, and operational priorities. When assigned to a route, the position safely operates company fleet vehicles and completes scheduled deliveries and pickups using routes dispatched through the company's route optimization software. The position is responsible for following assigned routes and delivery schedules, maintaining accurate records, capturing required proof-of-delivery documentation, and providing professional service to customers and their representatives. When not assigned to a route, the position supports logistics coordination by monitoring shipments and deliveries, communicating with internal teams, customers, and third-party providers, and helping resolve delays or other service issues. The position may also assist with warehouse and fulfillment activities as needed. Duties Safely and efficiently operate company fleet vehicles to complete assigned local deliveries and pickups. Follow pre-built routes dispatched through the company's route optimization software, including required route sequence, priority stops, and delivery windows. Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records and capture required proof-of-delivery (P.O.D.) photographs using a company-issued device. Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, customer representatives, coworkers, vendors, and third-party service providers. Comply with company driving policies, applicable laws and regulations, and all posted traffic signs and signals. Perform required vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance, safety, or vehicle-related concerns. Monitor shipping and delivery activity and respond promptly to inquiries regarding shipment status. Proactively communicate delivery delays or service issues to customers and appropriate internal teams. Coordinate with third-party transportation providers regarding tracking gaps, delays, delivery exceptions, and other service issues. Coordinate replacement orders when necessary and follow through to help ensure timely delivery. Maintain accurate logistics information and documentation in applicable company systems. Assist with coordinating local transportation resources based on route volume, driver availability, and operational needs. Assist warehouse personnel with pulling, assembling, staging, packing, and preparing orders for delivery or pickup. Support inventory movement and other fulfillment activities as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to transition between driving, logistics, and warehouse responsibilities based on business needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge & Skills Ability to follow instructions, established procedures, and assigned routes accurately. Valid driver's license required. MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) must meet company requirements for operating fleet vehicles. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients and vendors. Strong customer-service orientation and ability to respond professionally to service issues and changing priorities. Ability to meet priority stops and required delivery windows necessary to complete assigned routes. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. Ability to adapt to a changing work environment and transition between tasks as operational needs require. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook 365, and other applicable business systems. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, turn, bend, reach, and lift throughout an 8-hour shift, including repeated lifting of up to 50 lbs. BBJ La Tavola is an equal opportunity employer. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 42.0 per week
