JOB SUMMARY

The Reverse Logistics Associate is responsible for managing the return, replacement, and disposal of medical aids and healthcare supplies, ensuring that products are efficiently processed through the reverse logistics chain. This position is critical to maintaining product quality, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting sustainability efforts within the company. The Reverse Logistics Associate will be responsible for processing returns, coordinating the movement of goods, and managing inventory for returned items to ensure that the company's operations continue to run smoothly, and that customer satisfaction is maintained.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Handles all aspects of the return process for medical aids and healthcare supplies, including coordinating the return of products from healthcare facilities, hospitals, distributors, and customers. Verifies return requests, ensuring compliance with company return policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, HIPAA, and other healthcare regulations). Assesses returned products for defects, damages, or other quality issues, and document findings accurately. Process returns for restocking, refurbishment, or disposal based on the condition and compliance of the returned product. Tracks and manages the inventory of returned medical supplies, including maintaining accurate records in inventory management and ERP systems. Works closely with the warehouse and supply chain teams to ensure proper storage, handling, and movement of returned items (e.g., repairing damaged equipment, restocking sellable products, etc.). Organizes the proper disposition of products that cannot be restocked or repaired (e.g., disposal, recycling, or returning to vendors). Ensures that all returned goods are processed in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations, such as FDA guidelines for medical products.

• Maintains and manages detailed records of all returns, and product disposition activities for auditing and reporting purposes. Prepares and files necessary documentation for returns, including return authorization forms, shipping manifests, and regulatory compliance documents. Handles customer inquiries related to reverse logistics, ensuring prompt and professional resolutions to concerns or issues. Monitors the quality of returned products and provides feedback to the quality assurance or product management teams regarding recurring defects or quality issues. Prepares and presents reports on return trends, inventory levels of returned goods, and any issues that need to be addressed. Assists in identifying patterns in returns to recommend improvements to product quality or packaging to reduce return rates. Assists in developing and improving reverse logistics processes to optimize turnaround times and reduces the cost of handling returns. Identifies opportunities for cost savings or process improvements, such as streamlining the return authorization process or enhancing communication between departments. Ensures that the disposal of returned products is done in an environmentally responsible manner, following sustainability practices. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing returns and maintaining inventory records. Strong problem-solving abilities, especially when dealing with damaged or non-compliant products. Proficient in the use of inventory management software, ERP systems, and basic office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office). Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with customers, vendors, and internal departments. Knowledge of medical product standards and compliance regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO, etc.) is a significant advantage.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in reverse logistics, supply chain management, or inventory control, preferably within the healthcare or medical aids industry. Experience working with medical devices, equipment, or healthcare products preferred. Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations, including FDA standards, HIPAA, and medical product return policies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift, move, and handle medical products and equipment, sometimes weighing up to 50. pounds. $22.00/hr.
