SUPERVISOR IN FONTANA, CA

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a SCIT Supervisor to join our team in Fontana, California. This individual will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, supervision, and administrative support for the Supply Chain Inbound Transportation (SCIT) Department. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications, strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, compile, review, and analyze operational data, and more listed below. Weekend availability is required Located in Fontana, California Duties and Responsibilities Provide on-site leadership and guidance to the Supply Chain Inbound Transportation team, managing workflow, task execution, and the coordination of departmental functions Serve as the first-line supervisor for designated daily operations Maintain consistent and professional communication with customers regarding transportation activities, shipment status, and operational concerns Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance Provide support for all dispatch-related activities associated with inbound transportation operations Maintain ongoing communication and coordination between departments and operational teams impacted by inbound transportation activities Monitor purchase order (PO) tracking sheets by Distribution Center (DC), ensuring information is accurate, current, and properly reported to the customer Ensure daily system maintenance and operational accuracy within TruckMate, transportation portals, and other applicable systems Review initial customer rate requests for accuracy and completeness Lead the team in identifying backhaul opportunities to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs for the customer Identify operational issues, determine root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions Support departmental priorities and initiatives as directed by management Perform additional supervisory, administrative, dispatch, or support functions as assigned Requirements and Qualifications Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), including load processing, quote requests, shipment tracking, and related transportation functions, preferred but not required Experience with TruckMate, PC

•Miler, Fleetmatics, RoadNet, or similar transportation and logistics systems preferred Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, compile, review, and analyze operational data Strong command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and written communication Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios Bilingual skills are a plus but not required Advanced knowledge of transportation, dispatch, logistics, and departmental operating functions Ability to identify errors, determine root causes, and make appropriate corrections Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, coworkers, management, and external representatives Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management Ability to effectively supervise, manage, and lead a diverse workforce Strong leadership skills, including coaching, counseling, performance guidance, and conflict resolution Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing operational priorities High school diploma or GED required Advanced college coursework in data processing, supply chain, transportation, logistics, or a related field preferred Two to four years of directly related transportation, logistics, dispatch, supply chain, or supervisory experience preferred An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered when the candidate demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the position Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution Must be able to work overnight/graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays as required Schedule flexibility is essential based on operational and business needs Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Ability to climb stairs Ability to walk throughout and access all areas of a warehouse or Distribution Center Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures -- ABOUT
