(ATS) is an asset-based logistics and transportation company providing nationwide freight, drayage, warehousing, and project logistics solutions. We support high-volume and project-based customers across renewable energy, industrial, and manufacturing sectors. We are growing and looking for a hands-on Logistics Procurement Specialist to support carrier sourcing, vendor coordination, and day-to-day procurement execution. Role Overview This is a mid-level execution role , ideal for someone with 2-4 years of logistics or transportation experience who enjoys vendor coordination, sourcing, and operational support. You will work closely with Operations and Sales to ensure capacity availability, competitive pricing, and reliable vendor performance. This role does not manage people or own procurement strategy but plays a critical role in daily execution. Key Responsibilities
  • Source and coordinate logistics vendors including: ○ Drayage and OTR carriers (FTL/LTL) ○ Warehouses, yards, and transload facilities ○ Specialized logistics service providers as assigned
  • Execute RFQs, collect pricing, compare vendors, and support vendor selection
  • Communicate with carriers and vendors to confirm availability, rates, ETAs, and service execution
  • Support onboarding of new vendors (documentation, compliance, rate setup)
  • Maintain vendor records, rate sheets, and procurement trackers
  • Support Operations and Sales with shipment updates and capacity coordination
  • Monitor vendor performance and escalate service or pricing issues as needed
  • Assist with cost-control and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in weekly operations or procurement meetings
  • Supervise outside processing (Consignment, visit suppliers whenever it's needed) and arrange the logistics with forwarding/trucking company
  • Work with project management to ensure efficient and consistent procurement practices through all stages of the project
  • Monitor supplier performance and recommend modifications when necessary.
  • Follow up issues with all relevant departments for the best decision making and for working well with suppliers.
  • Track payment progress.
  • Communicate with members for decision making, maintaining optimum capacity, resolving pending issues
  • Contract management
  • Negotiate with vendors
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
  • 2-4 years of experience in logistics, transportation procurement, or operations
  • Experience working with carriers, warehouses, or 3PL providers
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple vendors and priorities
  • Proficient in Excel and standard office tools
Preferred:
  • Experience with drayage, port operations, or project logistics
  • Familiarity with TMS or ERP systems
  • Bilingual (English / Chinese or Spanish) is a plus Compensation & Growth
Base Salary:
$60,000 - $75,0000/ Yearly
