Job Summary:
Under daily input from Management to handle shipment activities including but not limited to; coordination with brokers, cross-dockers, over-the-road, intermodal, boxcar and overseas carriers, providing high level customer service, and support to Distribution and Supply Chain Management.
Essential Functions:

Notify and schedule appointments with carriers to pick up orders to insure timely delivery
Analyze shipments to maximize shipping efficiency
Maintain communication with broker carriers for equipment availability
Provide high level customer service with distributors and various departments internally and externally (Supply Chain, Customer Service, Distribution and Production) in order to add high value to TFE customers.
Update and maintain domestic and Export broker carrier contact information
Relieve/backup Traffic Customer Service personnel (check-in/out) as necessary Responsible for understanding the Food Safety and Quality Management System and related activities. Handle requests and inquiries from sales staff and distributors
Work with TFE 3rd party partners to procure freight for transfers among customers
Participate (if needed) in annual Physical inventory as directed by the Distribution Manager
Generate miscellaneous reports as required
Assist with other Traffic Department activities such as: Safety committee meetings, town halls, and operation meetings.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma required, AA or Logistician preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Traffic Customer Service with above average job performances or previous logistics and transportation experience and inventory control.
Ability to accurately enter data
Previous experience with SAP systems or equivalent with experience in Sales and Distribution, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to follow detailed instructions
Excellent and accurate organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to multitask in handling multiple tasks at one time
Ability to interact effectively with team members and channel communication and activities between truck drivers and warehouse operations
Bilingual preferred

Salary Range:
$29.00 - $36.25 The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
