Job Duties Assist with gate operations and communicate with outside drivers Use handheld scanners, tablets, and other technology Help maintain a safe and organized yard environment Work efficiently in a fast-paced setting Provide professional and positive customer service to drivers Follow safety procedures and company policies Work independently while also being a strong team player Requirements 23+ years of age. Good attendance and punctuality. Will need to stand and walk for long periods of time . Has experience with handheld scanners/tablets. Willing to work in all types of weather conditions Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Safety-oriented. Self-driven. Able to speak and converse with outside drivers (Primarily English; Spanish is a plus). Able to work well with others. Available to work weekends. Positive attitude. You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, communicate with dispatch or customers as needed, and help ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time while maintaining a professional appearance and commitment to customer service. The Transportation Gate Clerk is responsible for operating vehicles safely while transporting products and materials according to established schedules and delivery requirements. This position requires sound judgment, strong driving skills, and a commitment to protecting people, cargo, and equipment. Successful Transportation Gate Clerk candidates understand the importance of vehicle inspections, transportation safety, and maintaining accurate records throughout the delivery process.
