In this role you will coordinate and optimize production schedules to meet customer demand in a cost-effective manner with respect to inventory management. Your role entails managing production and stock levels for assigned products to provide for timely delivery to our clients and customers while minimizing inventory exposure. Training The person will be required to participate in on-site and on-line/off-site formal APICs training. AWTA will re-imburse this employee for the enrollment cost upon successful completion of each course/module. The new hire will be evaluated each 90 days to ensure that they are on track to fully demonstrate and perform the required tasks listed below. Requirements Creating and maintaining production schedules, considering lead times, production capabilities, and resource constraints Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed, to meet changing demands and adjust for variances between actual bookings and forecasts. Generating and maintaining all work orders in support of above activities. Collaborate with production teams to understand capacity, resource availability, and production capacity to create accurate schedules Interfacing with customer service on delivery lead times for current and potential new orders. Maintain item master coding including those for lead time, safety stock, lot size, and make or purchase for all parts assigned to you. Coordinate with purchasing teams to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components. Maintain accurate records of production data and prepare performance reports for management. Stay updated on industry trends, production technologies, and best practices in production planning. Other tasks and projects assigned by the management of Amada Weld Tech from time to time.
Qualifications Qualifications:
The candidate must be competent in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in using production planning software and ERP systems. Excellent communication and people skills for effective collaboration with cross functional teams. Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a manufacturing environment. A strong work ethic along with a can-do attitude is a must.
OVERVIEW
At the 6 months, the candidate must:
APICS/ ASCM
certification in progress and have a strong understanding of APICs concepts including: MRP Kanban Master Production Scheduling Lead Time and Time Fences Multi-Level bills of materials Capacity planning
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 2-3
years' manufacturing experience. 4-year Technical College Degree preferred. Microsoft Office required.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
