Position Summary:

The Logistics Planner will utilize a Transportation Management System (TMS) to coordinate and plan inbound, outbound, direct-ship, and backhaul shipments. This role is responsible for ensuring loads are tendered in a timely manner and coordinating with Purchasing, Operations, and Accounting teams to support the movement of purchase orders through creation, receipt, and settlement. The position also monitors data related to routing locations, carrier rates, vendor allowances, and other transportation metrics. Responsibilities Manage transportation activities between vendors, branches, and customers. Ensure orders are tendered to carriers in a timely manner. Coordinate and negotiate carrier rates when required. Maintain data integrity within the TMS. Analyze shipping methods, routing, and carrier performance. Support carrier bids and lane analysis. Coordinate backhaul opportunities with company fleet operations. Audit freight invoices and support carrier billing processes. Generate transportation reports and metrics for management. Analyze buying patterns and recommend freight consolidation opportunities.

Education :

Bachelors Degree(Preferred)

Skills:

Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables Experience with reporting and data analysis Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities 2-5 years of logistics, transportation, dispatch, or supply chain experience Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus

Pay:

$30.00 - $34.00 per hour
