Guard Shack Associate Job Description Job Purpose Under the direction of the Asset Protection Manager, the Guard Shack Associate ensures the security and safety of company assets by monitoring access points, auditing processes, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with company policies and safety standards. Essential Duties Monitor CCTV and respond promptly to security incidents. Perform access control for vehicles and personnel entering the distribution center. Direct deliveries to designated doors and maintain yard compliance. Log visitor entries and exits using Excel and company systems. Conduct perimeter and trailer yard patrols to ensure security standards are met. Communicate effectively with management and team members. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Complete daily shift handoff reports and participate in process improvements. Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook). Bilingual preferred. Knowledge of security protocols and compliance standards. Ability to read and write English legibly. Physical Requirements Activity Frequency Notes Standing Frequent Required for monitoring and patrols Walking Frequent Yard and perimeter checks Lifting Occasional Up to 25 lbs Sitting Occasional During monitoring tasks Compliance & Safety Adhere to OSHA and company-specific safety protocols.
