Full-Time We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laboratory Receiving & Shipping Associate to support a high-volume laboratory operation. This role is responsible for receiving, sorting, staging, and preparing inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring materials are handled according to established procedures.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with offloading inbound shipments at the loading dock
- Sort incoming shipments by temperature requirements (ambient, refrigerated, frozen, and combination shipments)
- Process and handle temperature monitoring devices according to procedures
- Inspect, sort, and stage incoming laboratory shipments
- Move containers, bins, and materials throughout the facility
- Report shipment discrepancies, damaged shipments, or empty containers
- Prepare shipping containers and packaging materials for outbound carrier pickups
- Collect and manage dry ice bins and shipping supplies
- Assist laboratory departments with preparing outbound shipments
- Assemble, package, label, and stage shipments for courier and carrier pickup
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company quality, safety, and operational procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or laboratory support preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work around temperature-controlled shipments, including refrigerated and frozen materials
