Type:

full-time We're looking for an experienced Senior Material Planner to join a fast-growing space technology business developing advanced satellite communications hardware. This isn't a standard Material Planner position. We're looking for someone who genuinely understands the complexity of planning materials for aerospace or satellite builds - from long-range demand through to finished flight hardware. What You'll Be Doing Own material planning across complex satellite / aerospace manufacturing programs Plan requirements 18-24 months ahead, accounting for long-lead materials and supplier constraints Translate production demand into robust material and supply plans Identify future shortages, supply risks and material constraints before they impact production Manage and analyse data across ERP/MRP systems Extract, manipulate and interpret planning data using Excel Support NPI, engineering changes and evolving production requirements Work across Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Program Management Turn complex planning data into clear insights and recommendations Present material status, risks and recovery plans to senior leaders and executives What We're Looking For Strong material planning experience within satellite, space or aerospace manufacturing Excellent understanding of MRP, BOMs, demand planning and inventory management Experience managing long-lead materials and supplier lead times Ability to think and plan 18-24 months into the future Advanced Excel and data manipulation capability Experience extracting and analysing data from ERP/MRP systems Power Query experience would be a major advantage Strong understanding of the wider supply chain, not simply MRP system administration Confidence communicating complex information to directors and executives Who Will Thrive Here? We're looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable and comfortable taking ownership. You'll need to be comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment, making informed decisions with imperfect information and taking calculated risks when necessary. If you can confidently talk through: Satellite BOMs ? long-lead materials ? MRP ? supplier lead times ? demand ? material availability ? future risks ? executive reporting Let's chat!
