Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating the production schedule, ensuring that manufacturing processes align with demand forecasts, inventory levels, and customer orders. This role involves planning and optimizing the production flow, ensuring resource availability, and collaborating with different departments to meet production targets while maintaining efficiency and quality. The Production Planner plays a crucial role in supporting the supply chain and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity. Coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure materials and resources are available for production. Monitor and adjust production schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or unforeseen delays. Analyze production capacity and resource utilization to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime. Work closely with the quality control team to ensure production standards are met and products are manufactured to specification. Track production progress and update schedules to reflect any changes or delays. Communicate regularly with internal departments and external suppliers to align production and delivery schedules. Collaborate with the supply chain management team to manage inventory levels and avoid overstock or stockouts. Troubleshoot and resolve any production or scheduling issues that may arise during the production process. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize the production process and reduce costs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain management. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of inventory management, production scheduling, and demand forecasting. Proficient in using production planning software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of production planning. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:
Office setting with regular interaction with production and warehouse areas.
Physical Demands:
Role may require occasional walking, standing, and warehouse site visits.
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for extended hours as needed.
Travel:
Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits, conferences, and inter-facility coordination.
