This role is responsible for ensuring raw materials are available to support production schedules while maintaining optimal inventory levels and strong supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment with ERP/MRP systems and possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Execute MRP activities by creating, confirming, and expediting purchase orders to support production requirements. Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate material availability within the ERP system. Forecast raw material requirements and collaborate with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply. Run and analyze forecast reports, inventory reports, and open purchase order reports. Coordinate inbound shipments and deliveries from domestic and international suppliers. Work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and brokers to ensure on-time and cost-effective material deliveries. Communicate proactively with suppliers regarding purchase order status, lead times, shortages, and delivery schedules. Support new product launches by ensuring timely availability of required materials. Partner with Operations, Production, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Finance departments to support business objectives. Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and purchasing issues with suppliers and the finance team. Facilitate communication regarding supplier quality concerns, engineering changes, and material specifications. Maintain accurate purchase order dates and supplier commitments within the ERP system. Track and report key supply chain performance metrics, including supplier performance, inventory levels, and material availability. Participate in supplier visits and meetings as needed. Assist the Director of Operations with supply chain improvement initiatives and special projects. Why Join RAF?
