at Adecco US, Inc. in Newark, Delaware, United States Job Description Adecco is assisting a client in Newark, DE their search for a Materials Planner to join their team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This is a fully onsite, contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent opportunity. The Materials Planner will play a critical role in ensuring accurate demand planning, material availability, and inventory optimization to support production requirements. This role partners closely with purchasing, operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to proactively identify risks and drive mitigation strategies. Key Responsibilities + Monitor and manage demand signals within the ERP system to ensure accuracy and validity + Identify and remove invalid, duplicate, or outdated demand signals before they reach buyers + Analyze demand fluctuations and adjust planning parameters as needed + Maintain accurate planning data including lead times, order policies, and safety stock levels + Review proposed SIOP plans for material feasibility and identify risks, constraints, and supply gaps + Propose revised SIOP plans based on material availability and supply constraints + Project material shortages and proactively communicate risks to operations and purchasing teams + Partner with buyers to prioritize and expedite critical materials + Develop and execute mitigation plans for potential material shortages + Analyze inventory levels to prevent excess and obsolete material and support inventory optimization initiatives + Review and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate demand generation and resolve discrepancies with Engineering + Prepare and distribute reports, including: + Excess & Obsolete (E&O) analysis + Material shortage reports + SIOP risk analysis and planning updates + Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, ERP data accuracy, and inventory performance + Support broader supply chain and operational improvement initiatives Qualifications & Experience + 2-5 years of materials planning, production planning, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment + Experience working with
ERP / MRP
systems such as SAP , Oracle, or similar + Exposure to SIOP or S&OP planning processes (preferred) + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment + Strong attention to detail and data accuracyPay Details:
