This candidate must also have familiarity with Logistics and transportation management.

Their responsibilities often include:

Answering incoming calls and transferring calls to the appropriate personnel. Book and coordinate LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) shipments . Book and coordinate Full Truckload (FTL) shipments . Obtain and compare freight rates and negotiate transportation pricing and contracts. Communicate with carriers, freight brokers, and customers to ensure shipments are scheduled and delivered efficiently. Review freight invoices for accuracy and identify incorrect charges. Dispute and negotiate freight re-classifications when shipments have been incorrectly classified. Challenge and resolve accessorial and other unexpected freight charges . Research shipment discrepancies and work with carriers to resolve billing issues. Maintain accurate shipment records, documentation, and tracking information. Monitor shipments and proactively address delays or transportation issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and transportation providers. Assist with improving freight costs, processes, and overall shipping efficiency.
