We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team.
Job Overview:
The Inventory Control Specialist will plan, organize, and schedule inventory management activities, including the procurement, receipt, storage, issuance, item management, and accounting for a wide variety of equipment, supplies, and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Place orders for inventory, non-inventory, and special-order items. Obtain informal quotes for parts, safety supplies, consumable supplies, equipment, and contracted services. Monitor the status of pending orders and initiate the Accounts Payable (A/P) process upon receipt of items. Serve as a liaison between vendor representatives, operating section personnel, and the Procurement Division, ensuring material updates are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Receive and process financial documents (e.g., purchase order requisitions, checks, invoices) for assigned accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and proper coding. Operate forklifts and use company vehicles to transport materials.
Requirements:
Basic understanding and application of inventory management theories, principles, and practices (gained through education or equivalent experience). Must pass background and drug screenings. Must hold a valid State of Florida Driver's License.
