Senior Logistics Specialist Location:
Covington, Louisiana Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Contract Duration:
12 months with potential extension
Pay Rate:
50- 650hr Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Specialist to lead process optimization initiatives and drive operational efficiency within offshore logistics operations. This role focuses on continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, stakeholder collaboration, and digital transformation initiatives that enhance logistics performance and cost effectiveness. The successful candidate will serve as a key advisor and project leader, identifying opportunities to improve processes, develop performance metrics, and implement scalable solutions across logistics operations. Key Responsibilities Lead logistics optimization projects focused on improving operational efficiency and reducing costs. Identify process gaps, evaluate solutions, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze operational and benchmarking data to develop actionable recommendations. Develop, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business objectives. Serve as Product Owner for logistics-related digital platforms, including backlog management, stakeholder engagement, and prioritization of enhancement opportunities. Partner with digital, analytics, and technology teams to develop tools that improve logistics performance and visibility. Collaborate with logistics, finance, and business teams to establish and maintain transparent, compliant cost-allocation methodologies. Manage projects from initiation through execution while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to support operational excellence and process adoption. Present findings, recommendations, and performance reports to stakeholders and leadership teams. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, process improvement, or a related field. Strong project management experience. Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive business improvements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Experience working with cost analysis, operational efficiency initiatives, and performance measurement. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI, including dashboard development and reporting. Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities. Experience utilizing digital tools and technology solutions to improve operational performance. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting offshore logistics or complex industrial operations. Experience serving as a product owner or leading digital transformation initiatives. Background in process optimization, continuous improvement, and operational excellence programs.
