Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Logistics Account Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be a proactive member of the operations team responsible for facilitating shipments and supporting our current customers. You will gain hands-on experience in freight brokerage, transportation operations, customer service, and account management while developing the communication and problem-solving skills needed to advance within the logistics industry. Responsibilities Respond promptly and professionally to customer email requests. Accept or decline customer orders according to established instructions and procedures. Schedule and appoint shipments in the Transportation Management System (TMS) and make updates as needed. Maintain accurate customer account and contact information. Communicate important shipment information between customers and the capacity team. Work proactively with internal teams to identify and deliver creative solutions for customers. Serve as the daily operational point of contact for assigned customer accounts. Provide support and backup to fellow team members as needed. Perform additional duties and assignments as directed by management. Cross-train with Transportation Coordinators and Brokers to assist with securing capacity and servicing customer needs. Skills High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Proficiency with the internet and Microsoft Office programs. Strong verbal, written, and active listening skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Highly motivated and driven to succeed. Competitive, goal-oriented mindset. Strong team-player mentality. Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Environment and Physical Requirements The majority of the work week will be in office. Duties to include administrative functions using the phone, computer, and communicating with people. This job will require occasional lifting of no more than 30 pounds. Must be able to sit a minimum of 8 hours per day, perform keyboard operations a minimum of 6 hours per day, and must be able to stand and climb stairs as required. Why Join Us?
