Location:
Brunswick, GA The purpose of the Production Planning Specialist (NACUP Planner) position is to support the general operations of NACUP alongside the NACUP Manager. NACUP is the North America customizing center. The primary responsibilities include placing orders with the plant in South Korea for excavator components such as the Base, Boom, Arm, and Bucket , developing assembly schedules, and managing production to ensure excavators are ready for delivery. 1. Operations Management Support and lead continuous improvement, problem-solving, and process improvement activities. Maintain and consolidate monthly reports for operational activities. Conduct semi-annual inventory audits, including comprehensive physical counts of all machines and parts twice per year. Identify and address production issues to prevent delays or errors and improve NACUP efficiency and productivity. Establish standard work procedures, including standardized work sequences, locations for parts, tools, subsidiary materials, and workspace layouts. Improve productivity through production optimization, waste elimination, cost reduction, increased production capability, and reduced production lead times. 2. Production Management Take immediate and appropriate action with the NACUP General Manager to resolve production issues, including defective, missing, or incorrect parts; performance problems; and production shortages. Monitor daily production status and discuss issues with the NACUP General Manager to resolve problems and stabilize production.
Production Scheduling:
Create and maintain daily production schedules, transitioning machines from SKD to CBU status based on dealer orders and port arrivals. Work closely with the Inventory Team and warehouse staff to ensure all parts, customizing kits, and machines are staged and ready for production. Collaborate with the Quality Team to ensure all production units meet company standards before being cleared for shipment.
Claims Management:
Process reimbursement claims related to equipment damage and loss.
Multi-Site Coordination:
Serve as the central planning hub for locations in Rincon, Shippensburg, Tacoma, and League City to ensure standardized production and inventory flow. 3.
Invoice Management Cost Control:
Review partner invoices carefully to identify overcharges, duplicate billings, or incorrect rates. Create vouchers for expenses. Prepare monthly expense summaries. 4. Travel 20%
Travel Required:
Regular travel is required to oversee production and standards at other sites and coordinate with leadership. Conduct onsite visits to Rincon, Shippensburg, Tacoma, and League City to support workflow efficiency. Travel quarterly to the Norcross headquarters for strategic planning, financial reviews, and leadership meetings. 5. Administrative Management Manage and track office and warehouse assets, including company vehicles, forklifts, IT equipment, and other assets. Work closely with the Asset Team to ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards. Coordinate and purchase daily operational necessities, including office supplies, warehouse consumables, and team meals. Responsibilities Understand and follow company policies, procedures, and standards. Continuously develop job-related skills. Develop and maintain relevant manuals for assigned responsibilities. Immediately report any identified problems. Actively cooperate with requests for assistance from other subsidiaries and headquarters. Maintain a strong working knowledge of the systems and resources used in departmental operations. Assess daily work situations and determine the resources necessary to resolve issues efficiently and appropriately. Required Qualifications Position is based in Brunswick, Georgia .
