Job Description

Job Purpose:
Our Supply Chain Development Program is an 18-month immersive program designed to accelerate development of recent college graduates by providing meaningful experience and broad exposure to Veritiv's global operations. Participants will have rotations of six months working in various Supply Chain departments and be placed in a hands-on learning environment with guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure we meet our commitments to our customers. Participants will develop a strong understanding of Veritiv's end-to-end Supply Chain from forecasting, planning and optimizing inventory levels. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be well-equipped to immediately step into opportunities within Veritiv's Supply Chain organization.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with multiple internal and external customers on projects and presentations.
  • Take ownership of a project and assist other team members to support company initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and optimize cost and time effectiveness.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism working cross functionally adhering to Company guidelines and meeting objectives thoroughly and on time.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather sales forecasts, historical data, and market insights to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Utilize demand planning tools to analyze data, generate accurate demand forecasts and identify potential risks and opportunities for various products and regions.
  • Perform daily inventory replenishment review to monitor exceptions and recommended purchase requisitions in Oracle System and the Buyer Workbench.
  • Manage replenishment policy and parameter setting within Oracle System including lead time, minimum order quantities, product segmentation, etc.
  • Resolve complex issues escalated by Supply Planning Coordinators. (e.g., following up on purchase orders, expediting purchase orders, resolving purchase order and invoice discrepancies as needed).
  • Daily review of dead and excess inventory using the monthly D&E report to determine and execute item actions - Broker, Discount, Dispose, Donate, Return, Sell Thru or Transfer as well as noting if items have sold or additional follow-up is needed.
  • Process stock transfers - move D&E to locations where product is selling (if possible).
  • Assist with CDI (customer dedicated inventory) monthly performance reviews with Regional Sales teams and Corporate Accounts.
  • Ability to start January 2027.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related discipline is preferred.
  • Exposure in supply chain management software and ERP systems in preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to manage complex data sets.
  • Must be passionate about continuously improving yourself, our services, and our culture.
Work Experience:
  • 0-1 years of related job experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
  • Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, contract management, CRM systems and project management tools preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
  • Strong planning and organization skills are required.
