Job Purpose The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of products, equipment, and materials while ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This role serves as a key communication link between customers, drivers, operations staff, sales teams, and vendors to support daily logistics activities and maintain smooth operations. Duties and Responsibilities These are the basic duties and responsibilities of the position and must be performed competently. Basic duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Coordinate daily transportation schedules and delivery routes. Communicate with drivers, applicators, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules and changes. Schedule inbound and outbound shipments to maximize efficiency and minimize delays. Assist with product transfers between locations. Prepare delivery documentation. Track transportation activities and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and transportation regulations. Assist with third party carrier scheduling. Work closely with sales and operations teams to prioritize customer needs and delivery timelines. Analyze logistics processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Provide backup support for Fertilizer dispatching, inventory management, and customer service functions. Complete training and attend all meetings appropriate to this position. Inform Direct supervisor of all relevant departmental issues in a timely manner. Perform all duties as assigned by direct supervisor Comply with Wells Ag Supply policies, including Wells Ag Supply safety polices. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in agriculture, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred. Previous logistics, transportation, dispatching, agricultural operations, or customer service experience preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics or ERP software systems. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of agricultural products, fertilizer, crop protection products, or transportation operations is preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work extended hours during seasonal peak periods.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
